“Black as Midnight on a Moonless Night” ~ Special Agent Dale Cooper, Twin Peaks

Coffee just isn’t the same as it has been in the past, it’s gone upscale. In the movies, we have heard the expression “cup of joe”.  Now we overhear words like, Fair Trade, Barista, Tall, Grande, Vente, Macchiato, and so forth.

Coffee seeds are primarily grown in  Latin America, Southeast Asia, Maldives, and Africa. Green (unroasted) coffee is one of the most traded agricultural commodities.

Some people don’t drink coffee for the taste but for its side effects. Many drink coffee to  jump start their day or pick up a sluggish afternoon.

  1. Dear Eileen, I love your blog about coffee—and the coffee illustration that you did for the Nashville coffee house is great. You are the greatest! Love, Harriet
